Kat and Sophie for their lookbook shoot
I’ll do a mini background story before I get to the juicy, flowery, lacy, glittery part!
I had heard of Rock n Roll Bride before seeing Gala mention her, however I didn’t want to get into reading a wedding blog as it wasn’t really my thing at the time. Now, and for the last year or so, Kat’s blog has been somewhat of a guilty pleasure. I take great joy in looking through all the lovely images and reading the stories behind the weddings she features (plus I have got a fair few ideas from weddings on there…to the point I think mine is pretty much all planned out-I’m just in need of Ryan Gosling to be my groom!).
Crown and Glory is a brilliant little (I say little, she’s featured in various magazines and her pieces are worn worldwide!) business run by Sophie, who handcrafts all the items you see in her store. I’m now building up somewhat of a collection, and have 3 of the ‘Rosie’ headbands alone, not to mention other styles.
So, when I recently saw that Kat and Sophie were featured together in a photoshoot by Lisa Devlin (she’s on my ‘I’d like her as a wedding photographer’ list), I got a teensy bit excited. Kat built up the anticipation by posting various clues on instagram, but i’m not sure anyone guessed it. Then, yesterday morning she revealed all: Kat has done a collaboration with Sophie, and together they’ve produced the most amazing headpiece range yet…

From floral to lacy to glittery to gem-encrusted; black to blue to pink to rainbow; ears and bows and headbands; everything has been covered! I really had issues deciding which one to go for! It’s taken me a good 24 hours, but I ended up going for the ‘Gala’ Medium in Classic Black, but only because my hair colour changes so often that I wanted to make sure I chose something I could wear whatever my hue! I was, however, also very very tempted by the ‘Liberace’ ears and the lacy ‘Sarah’ ears…maybe I’ll have to pay another visit to the Crown and Glory site after next payday…
Either way, I’d definitely recommend a little browse through the collection (click here!!), because whatever your vice, you’re almost guaranteed to find something amazing! Prices are between £20 and £45, so they’re also an affordable little treat, too!
Note:as soon as I receive my lovely Gala bow, I’ll do a little photoset/review of it, so keep your eyes peeled for that within the next week or so!
